Before the test, as usual, we changed the 3D setting preferred graphics processor in the NVIDIA control panel to a high-performance NVIDIA processor, and then opened the Altron Center software to select the enhanced mode.

In the CineBench R20 test, the Ryzen 9 5900HX on the Moba 5 Plus ran out of 570 points for single-core and 5188 points for multi-core, which is the same as the previous test of the machine revolution Cold 01 and Cold 01 equipped with Ryzen 7 4800H Compared with Tianxuan 2 equipped with Ryzen 7 5800H, both have a certain degree of improvement.

Then in the 3D Mark running test, we also compared some current mainstream CPU historical running scores. The Ryzen 9 5000 series and the 10th generation standard pressure i7 have opened a significant gap, compared with the Ryzen 9 4000 series processors. It is also more obvious. The Moba 5 series is a cost-effective model in the ROG product matrix, and its competitiveness cannot be underestimated.
In terms of GPU, the Moba 5 Plus uses a 130W RTX3070, which should have been improved compared to the historical models we tested last year. In the various tests of 3D Mark, this 130W RTX3070 has shown good results, even compared to the 140W RTX3070 that Rocking Review just installed on the mechanical revolution titanium tantalum, it is not at all shocking. ROG Boost coupled with the Dynamic Boost 2.0 dynamic acceleration technology of NVIDIA RTX30 series graphics cards allows RTX3070 to exert powerful performance.
In terms of actual performance, it is necessary to use game performance to verify. First of all, for the FPS online game PUBG, which requires a higher frame rate, we did two sets of tests under the full maximum and full low presets. In the highest image quality, during the flight and parachuting phases, the frame number is between 156-182 frames; after landing, the number of outdoor frames floats between 118-135 frames, the number of indoor frames floats between 98-112 frames, and the number of frames during vehicle driving is Floating between 90-105 frames.

Then comes Red Dead Redemption 2. After entering the game, we select 1080P full screen, pull all the options in the graphics settings menu to ultra high, and the advanced graphics settings remain locked by default. Run the built-in benchmark test and get an average number of frames of 76.8. And most scenes of the game can reach more than 80 frames.
Then there are two light chase game demo tests. In the light chase Demo of "Bright Memory: Infinite", we set the RTX quality to extremely high and the DLSS quality to quality, and the final average number of frames is 65; In the "Han" Light Tracking Demo, I don’t know why I can only turn on Light Tracking, but I cannot turn on DLSS. The final average frame rate is 56. It is worth noting that the GPU clocked at 1950MHz at this time, but the temperature is only 65 degrees.
For the light pursuit part, we chose the "Metro: Escape" game. In the game, when the light tracking and DLSS are not turned on in the Ultra image quality, the average number of frames is 79 frames; when the Ultra image quality is maintained and the light tracking and DLSS are turned on, the average number of frames is 61 frames; it can be said that in the 1080P resolution, the magic The hardware performance of the Pa 5 Plus is enough to play most of the mainstream 3A masterpieces currently on the market, and the optical tracking performance is also very good.
ASUS ROG Moba 5 Plus Power consumption and heat dissipation
After watching the game performance, let's take a look at the power dissipation. Before I got the product, I heard that ROG had upgraded the heat dissipation specifications this time, so I could not wait to open the back cover when I got it. The ROG Moba series uses the previously highly acclaimed glacier heat dissipation architecture and is upgraded to version 2.0. Remove the 11 screws on the D side, carefully pry the buckle from the side, and then slowly uncover the D shell. Pay attention to the D shell. Connect the two bottom LED strip cables to the motherboard, don't do miracles with great force.
After removing it, you can see that the heat dissipation specification of Moba 5 Plus has been upgraded to dual fans, 6 heat pipes, and the CPU and GPU parts each cover 3 heat pipes, of which 1 heat pipe is shared. ROG also uses liquid metal to conduct heat, so ordinary consumers must not easily remove the heat dissipation module by themselves.
For the fan, the new Arc Flow design increases the number of fan blades to 84, and adopts the design of differential thickness and aerodynamic wave pattern, which can maximize the airflow speed and reduce noise to achieve the best heat dissipation. effect.
There are two memory slots in the middle, the two built-in memory is a single 8GB DDR4 3200MHz from Samsung.

Now that the heat dissipation specifications have been upgraded, what about the actual power consumption performance? Rocking Review also conducted two rounds of roasting machine tests to verify. The first is a single-baked FPU for 20 minutes. The CPU temperature is maintained at 84 degrees and the power consumption can be maintained at 80W. At this time, the main frequency of the CPU can reach 3.9GHz, and the fan speed is around 6400 rpm. There is only a very slight warmth on the keyboard surface, which can be said to be a cold hand. The measured maximum temperature is 34.7 degrees.
At the same time, using AIDA64 and Furmark dual-bake for 20 minutes, the CPU has dropped by one degree to 83 degrees, but the power consumption has been reduced to around 54W, the frequency has also dropped to 3.5GHz, the GPU temperature is maintained at around 70 degrees, and the power consumption can reach 115W , And with ROG Boost dynamic overclocking technology, the frequency is up to 1600MHz, such temperature control and performance release is not easy. Although in manual mode, the fan noise is still obvious, but the fan noise in other gears is significantly improved than the previous generation.
By the way, everyone has always been concerned about solid state drives. As mentioned in the previous disassembly demonstration, the Moba 5 Plus uses 1TB PCIe M.2 solid state from Hynix this time, and it is TLC particles, which can be verified through the CrystalDiskInfo software query.
The actual reading and writing run by Rocking Review also used CrystalDiskMark for testing. The sequential reading and writing of this solid-state hard drive reached 3000+ MB/s, and it was no longer slow.
Asus ROG Moba 5 Plus Appearance and design
After reading the configuration and performance that everyone cares about most, let's go back and talk about the appearance of Moba 5 Plus. First of all, this generation of Moba has changed a lot in the mold. First, the brushed metal process was changed on the A side, and it was replaced with a more delicate and non-fingerprint matte metal material.

In terms of measurements, the size of ROG Moba 5 Plus is 5% smaller than the previous generation, and the color scheme is available in eclipse gray, primary gray and punk powder sports versions. The C side has always been the most important part of the Moba series. Moba 5 Plus adopts a more comfortable touch this time, and a special process coating treatment makes the C surface more delicate and smooth, without fingerprints. At the same time, due to the 17-inch body, the keyboard also uses a full-size + numeric keypad layout. The first row at the top of the keyboard still retains the most commonly used function keys, and the number has increased from 4 to 5.
However, it should be noted that the WASD keycap on the keyboard no longer adopts a translucent design, and the arrow keys are only half the size of a key.
The keyboard part does not adopt a sunken design this time.
